In a momentous step towards enhancing road connectivity in the West of the island, the Medine group has embarked on the construction of the Pierrefonds-Cascavelle section of the Flic-en-Flac Bypass. The groundbreaking ceremony, graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including the Prime Minister, marks the beginning of a new era of seamless travel between the West, center, and east, ultimately connecting Flic-en-Flac to the airport.
Through a strategic Public-Private Partnership with the Road Development Authority (RDA), Medine has pledged a substantial investment of over Rs 1.4 billion to support this ambitious project. The development includes the provision of vast land stretching across 207 acres and an additional 44-acre road connection linking Cascavelle to Flic-en-Flac.
By tackling the congestion woes faced on the Beaux-Songes road leading to the West, the Flic-en-Flac Bypass, traversing the lands of Medine, promises to significantly enhance road services for communities in the west and south-west regions of the island.
The 5.2-kilometer-long section between the Pierrefonds roundabout and the Cascavelle Shopping Mall will feature top-tier road infrastructure, ensuring utmost safety and comfort for users. With junctions, roundabouts, a bridge, and even a cycle path, this project of national importance will not only bolster regional connectivity but also reflect Medine’s unwavering dedication to the progress and development of the country. The commencement of work on the Pierrefonds-Cascavelle section of the Flic-en-Flac Bypass is a game-changer for the residents of Bijou Residence in the Medine Smart City. With enhanced connectivity, reduced commute times, and improved lifestyle amenities, homeowners can look forward to a more convenient and enjoyable living experience. This infrastructure development further reinforces the enticement of Bijou Residence as an attractive investment for those seeking a sophisticated and well-connected living space in Mauritius.
